Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda (But Did You?)

One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing shopping trolleys left abandoned in car park spaces. You can almost trace the thought process: “I should return this to the trolley bay.” Then comes the self-justification: “I could… but I’ll just leave it here. Someone else will deal with it.” And finally, the decision: “I won’t. I don’t have time.” It seems small, but every time we brush aside something we should do, we quietly lower our internal standards. These seemingly minor moments shape how we show up—not just in the car park, but in life. And that’s where the conversation around health and wellbeing really begins.

Most of us already know the shoulds.
We should eat better.
We should move more.
We should cut back on the late nights and screen time.
We should meditate, journal, breathe deeply, drink more water.
The list is long...and predictable.

But knowing what we should do doesn’t get us very far. It’s like knowing gravity exists. It’s just the law. The shoulds are our compliance with the natural laws of health - obvious, universal, and kind of boring.

The real work begins with the coulds.

The coulds are more nuanced.
They require honest reflection about what’s genuinely possible in our current circumstances.
They call for us to distinguish between what we’re truly unable to do, and what we’re simply avoiding.

Some days, a short walk is within reach.
Other times, switching out a sugary drink for something nourishing makes sense.
Going to bed earlier, skipping the scroll, prepping something healthy - these are often small, manageable shifts.

But not every could is realistic all the time - and that’s okay.
What matters is learning to tell the difference between real constraints and convenient excuses.

Then come the woulds.

This is where agency lives.
Saying “I would if I could” might reflect a genuine limitation.
But “I would - and I will” is where meaningful action starts.
Change doesn’t begin with knowing - it begins with choosing.

And among the many coulds, here’s one we’ve made easy.

Our Superfood Wellness Blend is a practical way to eat and drink better, without overhauling your entire lifestyle. It’s an organic cacao-based blend with functional ingredients like turmeric, hemp, flaxseed, chia, and MCT coconut oil. It’s sugar-free, smooth, and effortless to enjoy daily.

It could become your morning ritual.
It could replace a less nourishing habit.
And if it becomes a would, it just might be the simplest shift that makes the biggest difference.
